HXD Precision (“HXD”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) understands that drawings, CAD models, specifications, and project information may contain valuable trade secrets and intellectual property. This policy describes the baseline confidentiality protections we apply when information is submitted for quotation, design-for-manufacturing review, production, inspection, or delivery.
1. Confidential Information
Confidential Information includes non-public drawings, CAD or 3D models, technical data, specifications, tolerances, bills of materials, prototypes, samples, photographs, pricing, forecasts, order details, quality requirements, testing information, business plans, and communications that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential.
2. Permitted Purpose
We use Confidential Information only as reasonably necessary to evaluate manufacturability, prepare a quotation, plan production, source approved materials or processes, manufacture and inspect parts, arrange delivery, provide project support, and meet legal or quality obligations. We do not use customer drawings to manufacture products for unrelated parties.
3. Our Confidentiality Commitments
- We limit access to personnel and service providers who need the information for the permitted purpose.
- We require personnel and relevant suppliers or subcontractors to protect confidential project information.
- We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the files.
- We do not publish customer drawings, part images, customer names, logos, or project details in marketing materials or case studies without prior authorization.
- We do not sell customer drawings or intentionally use them to train public artificial-intelligence models.
- We notify the customer when reasonably practicable if we become aware of unauthorized access that materially affects submitted project information.
4. Approved Suppliers and Subcontractors
Where a quotation or order requires specialized materials, finishing, testing, logistics, or other approved external services, HXD may disclose the minimum necessary information to a vetted provider. Such providers must use it only for the assigned work and protect it under confidentiality obligations or professional duties.
5. Exclusions
Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that HXD can demonstrate: was lawfully known without restriction before disclosure; becomes public without breach of this policy; is received lawfully from a third party without a confidentiality duty; is independently developed without use of the customer’s Confidential Information; or is approved in writing for release.
6. Required Disclosure
If disclosure is required by law, regulation, court order, or competent authority, HXD may disclose the legally required portion. Where lawful and practicable, we will give advance notice so the customer may seek appropriate protection.
7. Ownership and No License
All customer Confidential Information remains the property of the customer or its licensors. Submission gives HXD only the limited right to use it for the permitted purpose. No patent, copyright, trademark, design, or other intellectual-property license is transferred except as necessary to perform the requested work.
8. Retention, Return, and Deletion
Files are retained only for operational, contractual, quality, backup, and legal needs under our Data Retention and Deletion Policy. A customer may request return or deletion by contacting us. We will act within a reasonable period, subject to legal obligations, quality traceability, active orders, dispute holds, and secure backup cycles.
9. Separate NDA Available
This page is a standing operational commitment, not a substitute for a signed project-specific non-disclosure agreement when one is required. We are willing to review a reasonable mutual NDA before detailed files are submitted. If HXD and the customer sign a separate NDA, the signed NDA controls where it conflicts with this page.
10. Customer Responsibilities
The customer should clearly mark especially sensitive material, send only information needed for the request, use secure transfer methods where appropriate, and confirm that it has authority to disclose the files to HXD. Export-controlled, classified, regulated, or unusually sensitive information should not be submitted until special handling requirements have been agreed in writing.
11. Duration
Unless a signed agreement provides a different period, HXD will protect Confidential Information while it remains non-public and commercially confidential, subject to applicable law and the exclusions above. Trade secrets will be protected for as long as they remain trade secrets under applicable law.

Specific quotations, purchase orders, and signed confidentiality agreements may impose additional protections and take priority over this website policy.
